What is a Book?

A book, a book can be many things but one thing I see it as a movie. I know a book as a movie that probably makes no sense right now but just let me explain. When you start a book you have this picture in your head of what the author has given you so far and when you go further and further in the book your mind develops what this book is an it is like you are the director. You know what the character looks like you know what the setting is and you know everything to your own mind. So the better imagination you have the better the book is going to be so you cant disappoint your self unless you really try. This is why so books that are made into movies they are usually worse than the book. Because you have this whole picture in your head an its just shattered when the movie comes. Then there is this this whole thing about not being able to capture the masterpiece the author has wrote and all this other stuff but that's not what this article is about.
The other thing that a book is a escape from reality. You can just go into a book and not even know what is around  you and then when you get finished with it you just don't know what to do you feel like an alien. Not the green little things that fly in the sky but like a person that is unfamiliar with your surroundings. So when you read a book just realize that its more than paper and words.

Book 1 Project

You are reading this because you are a Pendragon Fan or because you are my high school best sellers teacher Mr. Coates. Either way I am here to tell you about something that can further your experience with the Pendragon Series. There is a new virtual reality world that can take you to any territory in the Pendragon Series. You can say any territory into the machine sort of like the flume and it will take you there so it is also kind of like Velox.  My favorite territory to go to is Rayne like in the book I had just read the pilgrims of Rayne. In Rayne you can change the way that everything is done you can essentially rewrite the book by your judgments. Have you ever hated a book because of the main characters decisions or the ay that he or she had done things?

You can change that in Pendragon like the way that Bobby starts the book it’s a terrible way he made so many wrong decisions he had almost got killed by the quigs which is a general term for the sort of monster in the territory. You could change the turning point or the climax of the book. By changing the climax the way that Bobby does it sometimes is the wrong way. Bobby is in the fight for Halla and he has already lost so many territories and if you can change that it feels like you have written the book the way it was supposed to be written and that you are the real author. Also in the book how Bobby goes with the Jakills because they had ambushes him in the woods and taken him to show him how experienced they really were.

You know that is going to happen in the book and how would you change it that could change the whole layout of the book. In the book you would know that the Jakills that includes Bobby now would get ambushed on the boat that they sail out of Rayne. 

You could change the way discover the city and not getting rat boy in the group killed. If you could change most of the situations in the book you could make the story a lot different and see what would happen if you took the story in your own way. What I would find the most interesting is to take the evil side in the book could you imagine if you were on the evil side and see it from antagonists perspective. I always wondered what it would look like if I was the villain.

 

I think if the hero in the book is really the villain in the book. What if the villain is doing it for a bigger and better reason than the hero? I want to see the villain’s side and see if he could switch me over to his or her side. I think that it would be nice to see the villains’ thoughts. The villain in this book and throughout the series is Saint Dane. What the story tells us is that Saint Dane the antagonist is trying to take over the territories and if he does something terrible will happen if he takes 5 of the 10 territories. But I am thinking to myself what if the thing that will happen isn’t that bad but in the view of the travelers. To really put that into perspective that is like saying Justin Bieber gets his leg broken now all of the Justin Bieber fans would freak out. But then me and the people with Brains would be sitting there like who cares. You could do all of this stuff I had described with the new virtual reality machine you can change the book look at the villains perspective and be the main character all with this machine.

Why I Read

Why I read? I read to escape reality and to go into the fun of the books. Now don't get me wrong I have a good life Nice house ,extraordinary parents, 2 loving sisters and amazing friends also an xbox and a pretty awesome phone because that's what matters the most. But some days its just nice to go and escape like when you have a bad day. Like when your reading your book and you get really caught up in it and then you're done and you just sit there and stare and you're just like now what. Because you were so caught up with that world and that reality you just forget to do with yours for a moment and you blank. Another reason why I read is just to mix things up a bit. I have surprises and changes in life but they come every once in a while. Like every day I get up and get dressed eat breakfast get driven to the bus stop go to school same classes for 12 weeks go home do homework hang out with friends come home shower eat dinner watch TV and maybe play some xbox text some people and go to sleep then tomorrow same thing. I have been living in the same house for 8 years and everything pretty much stays the same like once I got excited because we got a new fridge and we got the house painted so yeah you get it. But in books there are always surprises around one corner and the other like you'll be reading and then just a plot twist or another surprise and you don't even see it coming and it's a nice feeling to get surprised at least most of the time. I read because of all the stuff you learn while reading mostly the vocab so you don't have to just say that was fun .that was cool you can use bigger better words like that was pleasurable or that was amusing I mean people may look at you weird. But you can walk into a room probably knowing you are the only person who knows what perfidiousness means. So the reasons why I read ,to escape reality which is nice sometimes also to change things up things, have surprises and to learn new things from reading but the main reason for Why I Read. Because it's fun.
